Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.

A propos des demandes de suppression[edit]

Bonjour @DelPacis: j'espère tout d'abord que vous allez bien. Il me semble qu'il serait mieux de modifier les copyrights pour éviter de futurs demandes de suppression (nous savons tous de qui elles émanent en premier lieu). Par exemple pour les tableaux et les blasons les mettre en {{PD-Art|PD-old-100|}}{{PD-US-unpublished}} et le reste en {{PD-old-100|}}{{PD-US-unpublished}} pour que ce soit inattaquable. De plus pour les scans de texte trop récents (comme Baron de Ryckman de Betz, Armorial de la Noblesse Belge, H. Dessain, Liège, 1957, p. 331.png) ne ne peuvent malheureusement par rester. Bonsoir Basileús (LeContributeurParisien) , merci pour votre message rempli de bienveillance. Je ne maitrise pas du tout Wikipedia commons, comment mettre en pratique vos indications? Dois-je mettre ce que vous dites en description? En cochant une certaine case? D’ailleurs d’après mes recherches meme ma capture du livre du baron est légalement utilisée puis qu’elle est issue d’un livre acheté, ce qui me donne donc les droits d’utilisation à but non commercial (en tout cas c’est comme ça que ça fonctionne pour les medias audio-visuels). Bonjour, il faut les insérer manuellement dans le code de la description (je me suis permis de le faire pour certaines). Pour le cadastre, il faudrait savoir qui l'a réalisé, et si cette personne est morte depuis au moins plus de 70 ans, et le préciser. Pour les blasons réalisés depuis l'ordinateur, il va falloir passer par là https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projet:Blasons/Demande_de_blason. Pour les manuscrits il serait bien d'avoir leur date, au moins approximative, et leur auteur si possible. Pour le livre de 1957, on peut tenter de le laisser comme ça, mais le problème est que les images sur Commons doivent pouvoir être utilisés dans un but même commercial... je regarde si on pourrait le faire transférer directement sur Wikipédia comme pour le logo de certaines marques. Bonjour Basileús (LeContributeurParisien) , merci pour votre aide. Pour le cadastre il s'agit d'un plan établi par la région au profit de mon arriere arriere grand père. Pour les manuscrits il s'agit d'un rapport de la Société Héraldique de France du 19e siècle qui nous a été envoyé, ces scans sont issus des originaux en notre possession.
