Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Rinominare una categoria

La Category:Campo San Ternità (Venice) (che è una sottocategoria di Category:Squares in Venice) non è correttamente indicata. Il nome esattissimo è Category:Campo Santa Tèrnita (Venice). Desidererei che venisse portata al suo nome giusto, ma non so come fare (per la verità ho domandato al Bar italiano), e non so nemmeno se debba io farlo direttamente. Sento perciò la necessità di chiederlo qui nell'ambito della discussione. Ringrazio doverosamente.--DICIOTTO (talk) 13:30, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

Impegnandomi un poco (sono soltanto un volenteroso settantacinquenne principiante...) ho creato la Category:Campo Santa Tèrnita (Venice) che ora appare come sottocategoria della Category:Squares in Venice nell'ordine alfabetico "C". Nell'ordine alfabetico "T" è rimasta però l'errata Category:Campo San Ternità (Venice), ma non mi sono permesso di fare altro. Certamente, all'occasione, io caricherò sulla categoria esatta che ho creato. Ringrazio--DICIOTTO (talk) 10:30, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Caro DICIOTTO, complimenti per il volenteroso impegno! Fa piacere vedere che un settantacinquenne non si lascia intimorire dalle novità informatiche e collabora con la comunità. Ho preso spunto da quanto da te esposto sopra ed ho spostato l'unica fotografia presente nella categoria San Ternità alla nuova Santa Tèrnita (per fare questo devi andare in fondo alla pagina di una fotografia, aggiungere con (+) la categoria giusta e con (-) togliere la categoria sbagliata). Però noi utenti non possiamo cancellare alcunchè, allora, dopo aver svuotato la categoria sbagliata ho aggiunto la richiesta di cancellazione alla San Ternità (in fondo al menu strumenti a sinistra). Questo viene segnalato agli utenti amministratori (utenti particolarmente affidabili e esperti dei meccanismi di wikipedia) i quali hanno gli strumenti per cancellare e, se la richiesta è sensata, cancellano. Un'ultima cosa, la tua pagina di discussione devi vederla come una casella di posta in arrivo, cioè, viene usata dagli altri utenti per scrivere a te dei messaggi, i tuoi due messaggi precedenti li ho visti finendoci sopra per caso. Quando devi chiedere qualche cosa a qualcuno, puoi usare la pagina di dicussione dell'utente o, come hai già fatto, il Bar italiano per le richieste generiche.
