You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Wikimedia Commons has an educational purpose, and is not the place to post promotional links or to advertise. Creating articles, userpages, templates, etc. with promotional text is not permitted, nor is the posting of links anywhere on the Commons in an attempt to advertise a website, product, company, person, or organization. Hi, this photograph seems to clearly be professional or semi-professional photograph.I think from the archdiocese of Atlanta or alternatively the DC one. If you are that photographer, we need more information to confirm it's you. Please see COM:OTRS for how you can privately provide that information. Thanks. One more thing I should mention. If you connected to the Archdiocese of Washington or the Archdiocese of Atlanta in some way, we'd likely still welcome your contributions of some photographs, especially those of people for which there are articles on Wikipedia or elsewhere. We may or may use them in articles, but provided you contact OTRS and confirm your ability to licence the images, and listen when people tell you what stuff you aren't allowed to do or is inappropriate, you should be fine here. Note in particular, while you uploading images may be fine, you shouldn't generally try to add them to any articles on Wikipedia or elsewhere yourself. You should let other editors decide whether to use them. (If you do decide to edit any Wikipedia or other project besides Commons, note that many of them have strong policies on editing with a conflict of interest including mandatory disclosure if you are Commons:PAID in any way.) Also because you may not understand what images are useful on commons and which aren't that well, I'd suggest you go slow with any uploads. Just upload a few and take on board any feedback about whether those are appropriate for Commons. While I understand some of this may be confusing or seem like a fair amount of work, there are various reasons why it needs to be that way. 12:42, 18 January 2021 (UTC)
