Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Re File:"LET'S GO TO WORK, BROTHER^" - NARA - 535664.tif

Hi there!

Pi.1415926535 left the following message on my talk page: "Just an FYI re your categorization of this file: for files from NARA that have identical JPG (for article use) and TIF (lossless version for editing), only the JPG needs to be categorized. (See Category:NARA TIF images with categorized JPGs). So that is what I've been doing. I think if you look at the .jpg version of the Charles Alston file: File:"LET'S GO TO WORK, BROTHER^" - NARA - 535664.jpg, you will see that it is properly categorized.

Thanks for understanding. Just to be clear: a year or two ago I cleaned up a massive categorization mess because some tendentious editors were mixing real political/cultural entities with irredentist ideologies preferred by marginal parties or movements. For example, even Category:Kuwait ended up in "greater Iraqi" categories two times [1][2]! :) That's truly ridiculous IMHO. --Orijentolog (talk) 22:06, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Зверніть увагу! Попри те, що в конкурсі беруть участь тільки роботи, зроблені до 30 червня 2023 року, фото та відео інтер'єрів пам'яток обмежень за датою не мають. Також можна відсканувати власні світлини, зроблені плівковим фотоапаратом, на спецномінацію «Фотоплівка». Усі номінації та спецномінації перелічено тут).

NDL books

Hi,

Thanks for your contributions. Can you pause adding categories for NDL books until I finish uploading? There are some file with descriptions need to be replaced. When I finish it, I will tell you. I uploaded a spreadsheet for categorizing books. The spreadsheet contains additional information within it. It has sheets for NDL books, zh and jp book categories.

Add categories: There are designated columns named "CAT_1", "CAT_2", and "CAT_3" where you can add new categories for the books. Be sure to only add new categories that don't already existing ones.

Share it back: Once you've added your categories, share the updated spreadsheet back with me. I will add by bot.

Important Note: I will assume you've double-checked your additions and won't be reviewing them for errors.

Yeomans

Why are you removing the category? Gael Yeomans has that surname and the category is entirely pertinent Bedivere (talk) 02:49, 23 February 2024 (UTC)

It is included in the wikidata so it is applied automatically. Manually adding the category causes to be listed under "Y" in Category:Yeomans (surname) when it should be listed under "G". CzarJobKhaya (talk) 03:00, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
