hi! i'm just being curious. how is it calculated with regard to non admin interface admins? for example, why is putnik considered inactive but Lucas Werkmeister active? RZuo (talk) 09:31, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

@RZuo: Hi. Please see COM:IA, non-admin interface admins are considered inactive in same way as admins, less than 5 admin actions in six months, here admin actions are MediaWiki namespace edits, content model changes which require interface adminship. User:Meghmollar2017

You have executed a range block which has caught User:Meghmollar2017 as collateral damage. They sent me an email requesting that I look into it. I see no reason why User:Meghmollar2017 should be blocked, so I would appreciate it if you would modify your block to exclude them. Thank you. .     Jim . . . Missing date

@Syrus257: Having date is strongly encouraged but it isn't a barrier usually, it is for {{Pd-old}} and other licence files where date matters, but it's okay in these type of files. See Category:Unknown date. -- CptViraj (talk) 15:55, 4 July 2023 (UTC)

Need your input on a policy impacting gadgets and UserJS

Dear interface administrator,

This is Samuel from the Security team and I hope my message finds you well.

There is an ongoing discussion on a proposed policy governing the use of external resources in gadgets and UserJS. The proposed Third-party resources policy aims at making the UserJS and Gadgets landscape a bit safer by encouraging best practices around external resources. After an initial non-public conversation with a small number of interface admins and staff, we've launched a much larger, public consultation to get a wider pool of feedback for improving the policy proposal. Based on the ideas received so far, the proposed policy now includes some of the risks related to user scripts and gadgets loading third-party resources, best practices for gadgets and UserJS developers, and exemptions requirements such as code transparency and inspectability.

As an interface administrator, your feedback and suggestions are warmly welcome until July 17, 2023 on the policy talk page.

re: spam

Got your message, going back now and spot checking/moving to regular deletion requests some of the borderline cases. This will mostly likely be a bit slower unfortunately since it is a spot check. Apologies again. (How I'm finding files is searching common promotional phrases and usually there are thousands of results, many of which seem fine; believe it or not, this is the relatively conservative version...
