Should fix this too, while you're at it: File:Coat of arms of Montgomery County, Maryland.svg. – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 22:22, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Will do chief, thanks for the reminder. Unfortunately the County Emblem are the colors you originally put in it -- which is completely inconsistent with every other symbol of Montgomery County -- so I'm just going to change the Fluer-de-lis and the rings to match the other ones I used. I'm in communication with the Montgomery County government to try and fix the inconsistencies within the County's law on symbology. Hopefully something will come to fruition with that, and I will be sure to update you accordingly. CommandoEchino (talk) 02:36, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the version here also uses darker colors. – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 14:53, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This emblem should probably be fixed too. Reference. – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 16:51, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Barrister,
The thing is, based on my research, there is no version of that symbol with the correct colors. In fact, this seems to be a symbol that the county government came up with out of thin air sometime in the 1990s or early 2000s. It is visible as far back as the county's website has existed: https://web.archive.org/web/20021118123406/http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/
The only example I can see of the 17 76 moniker being used with the dark color scheme is on this page on the county website in 2003: https://web.archive.org/web/20030207173755/http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/siteHead.asp?page=/mc/council/index.html
And that obviously isn't the emblem. I'm going to upload a version with the same sort of design as my coat of arms design but with the "new" coloring that the county is using in their Facebook profile picture: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=408322521336536&set=a.228817339287056
If you think that I should use the "correct" darker coloring, let me know and I'll upload the corrected version. CommandoEchino (talk) 00:32, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
