Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hello

I came to your page after seeing the image from the interview with Alexandrio Ocasio-Cortez was being challenged. I looked at the 11 images you uploaded, and concluded you were likely either (1) a family member of Julia Cumming; or a long-time friend of hers; or a long-time fan of hers.

I see File:Supercute Rachel Julia Talent Show Littlefields 053012.jpg dates back to 2012, when Ms Cumming was still a teenager. You uploaded it in 2013, so not that long after the picture was taken. File:Sunflower Bean, October 2013.jpg is also an image that includes Ms Cumming, practicing with another band, taken in 2013.

So, I find it credible that you also took the image of Ms Cumming interviewing Alexandrio Ocasio-Cortez

And I find it credible that you took the three images of Ms Cumming's band supercute, that were deleted for lacking appropriate permission.

File:Supercute Austin March 2011.jpg deleted as "no permission"

I encourage you to complete the paperwork requested by the OTRS team, so the interview image doesn't get deleted. If the team is satisfied you are who you say you are, and that you really took these images yourself, I think they should restore these three previously deleted images, as well.

Dman41689 tried to delete four of the images you uploaded, including the three I thought were credible that you took yourself. I notice they stopped contributing in 2016.
Christian_Ferrer, also nominated another four images, but I am afraid those four look like good faith mistakes, on your part, where you uploaded images you didn't own.
It might seem counter-intuitive, but when you take a picture of an album cover, or a billboard, the photographer of the image on the album cover or billboard has intellectual property rights that supercede your own, so we can't use those.
