To Martin H. I believe I indicated the source of the Sergio Franchi upload in the description. The photo is from the cover of a 1970 Sergio Franchi Souvenir Brochure. None of the pictures (Or anywhere in the brochure) contain any copyright information. All of the pictures in the brochure were released and sold by Sergio Franchi before 1977 as publicity photos without any copyright information, and therefore qualify as "public domain, no notice." I have repeated the information contained in the description of the photograph in the source information (I scanned them from the brochure). I then removed the "no source" template from the photo. Hope this is sufficient information. Thanks, CatherineCathlec (talk) 15:02, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You provided no information at all. Who is the publisher, for example. See en:Wikipedia:Citing sources. --Martin H. (talk) 18:10, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
To Martin H. I believed that I thoroughly read Wikipedia Image use policy, most info on what constitutes "Public Domain," in particular about publicity photos released before 1977 without any copyright information. As I stated above, no where in these publicity brochures (I used two) was there any Copyright notices, no dates, and no photographers were noted (Except for one photo which I did not use). Most of the photos of Franchi on TV shows are recognizable as publicity and/or wirephoto photos. I have cited the publicity brochures where I used text from them in my articles: Published by: Raydell Publishing and Distributing Corp., New York. If I need to list the publisher with the photo description, please give me an example. I also perused many public domain photos in use in various articles for examples. I have thoroughly read en:Wikipedia:Citing sources, and have thoroughly referenced all material in my articles. The information about citing sources on photos is very sketchy and non-informative. Please inform me of what other steps I need to take. Best wishes, CatherineCathlec (talk) 21:05, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think you found the answer yourself, you added the publisher. Of course it is important to add all such informtion, how would it be possible without this information to search for copyright entries or copyright renewals or previous publications. --Martin H. To Martin H. Thanks for you help with this matter, Martin. The information I have added (The publisher) is the only other information that was available. I also added this information to all of the other publicity photos that I uploaded from this source (per the template instructions above). Have I completed the steps and information necessary to keep my uploads from being deleted? Are you going to remove the deletion template?. Thanks again for your help. CatherineCathlec (talk) 20:00, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To Martin H. I removed the delete warning Bot template. I hope this was OK? If not, you are free to add it back, of course. I didn't yet get a reply, so I assumed I have done what is necessary to keep pic from being deleted. It was making me nervous keeping it there. Distracting me from the biography article. Any, I guess I'll hear if I need to do more. Cheers. CatherineCathlec (talk) 20:20, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Picture of the Year 2013 R1 Announcement[edit]

File:Pepe Jaramillo in Mexico.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
