Flickr reviewing

Hello Bsadowski1, and thank you for your application to be a flickr reviewer. The application has been removed as successful, and you've been added to the list of reviewers. Congratulations! Please see Commons:Flickr images if you haven't done so already, and the backlogs at Category:Flickr images needing human review and Category:Flickr review needed. A helpful script for easy-tagging flickr images is at importScript('User:Patstuart/Flickrreview.js'); (which you can add to your monobook.js), and you can add User reviewer or User trusted to your user page if you wish. Thank you for your work on Commons! –Juliancolton | Talk 14:08, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bsadowski1!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Some rights

You now have filemover, and patroller, and rollbacker rights. Any questions, just ask :) –Juliancolton | Talk 15:40, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License reviewer

You are receiving this message because you have importScript('User:ZooFari/licensereviewer.js') in your monobook.js or vector.js. The License cv tab has a new function, please see the documentation for configuration or report errors in a new section on that page. Thank you, ZooFari 22:04, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File mover

The functionality of the template Rename has recently changed. You might need to clear your cache to see the changes. If successful you should then be able to use the new "Quick adding" link in the template to instruct CommonsDelinker to replace the old name with the new name in all wikis. Please use that every time you rename a file. If further questions arise, feel free to write on my talk page --DieBuche (talk) 10:00, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

I locked your user page from edits by IPs to try to contain that vandalism. --DieBuche (talk) 19:38, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

abf blocked the respective IP ranges, so you shouldn't see more of that.--DieBuche (talk) 19:48, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lortu arte.jpg

Hi Bsadowski1. I uploaded yesterday the image File:Lortu arte.jpg and you put a template saying that the image in flickr is not cc-by-sa and is not eligible for Commons. I ask you to check it again, as the image is licensed in Flickr under cc-by-sa. Thanks a lot. -Theklan (talk) 10:50, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, at the time I had reviewed it the license on the flickr photo page was All Rights Reserved, which was not what it says now. --Bsadowski1 18:57, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I upload this picture from flickr tell me I have to do to keep this picture?.--Josedm (talk) 04:10, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The file was All Rights Reserved and also the Chile PD specifically states that it becomes Public Domain when the author is known and the image was taken 120 years ago. The image is from 1987 which is only 23 years ago. --Bsadowski1 07:41, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there Bsadowski1,

You marked the other image of the 2 women but you didn't mark this image uploaded by me. Why? Aren't I trusted enough here? You know I can't mark my own images. --Leoboudv (talk) 02:19, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had to leave at that time and only got around to do one at that moment. I would of done it if I stayed. --Bsadowski1 05:30, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
File:Glass_flowers_in_Las_Vegas,_Nevada.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

 • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
 • To perform file name swaps.
 • When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:35, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bsadowski1, do these IP-comments User_talk:Túrelio#crosswiki_vandal_to_be_blocked_NOW, in which you seem to be mentioned, make any sense to you? I don't read Polish and have no background information about these accounts. User:WyZynTwente WyZynVoorOleHindgeertmannje is already globally locked, so there does not seem to be any need for action. --Túrelio (talk) 10:24, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
