Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Is it possible...
[edit]That you are lost on the wrong project??
Commons is a project for freely licensed media files. This is not a project for:
- Articles
- fair use Logos
Maybe you wanted to edit Wikipedia and create an article - then you are wrong on Commons, no articles here. --Martin H. (talk) 23:56, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Additional, you first account was
NEVERblocked, so why do you create multiple accounts? Thats another question that I not understand. --Martin H. (talk) 23:57, 14 April 2010 (UTC) - I correct, I blocked that account for 1 week - but thats about 1 year ago. --Martin H. (talk) 00:07, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Blocked
[edit]You have been blocked for running a bot that is creating nonsense. Tiptoety talk 23:59, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing Commons. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may add {{Unblock}} below this message explaining clearly why you should be unblocked. For more information, see Appealing a block. See the block log for the reason that you have been blocked and the name of the administrator who blocked you.

This is one of several strange sockpuppets of User:Ricardojose20027 who obviously not realized that his main account is not even blocked on Commons - but on several Wikipedia where he obviously did much unwanted vandalism. With his sockpuppet accounts he continued to create strange talk comments and pages.
This sockpuppet accounts are now blocked indefinite to stop that kind of vandalism. Ricardo Jose may use his primary account instead of sockpuppet accounts, and he may keep in mind that this is Wikimedia Commons which is NOT a project for any articles (like those he created) and that this is a free content project and that fair use content (like the logos he uploaded) is NOT accepted here. Please review Commons:First steps. --Martin H. (talk) 21:39, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
