--Ecemaml talk to me/habla conmigo 14:17, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No sé me ocurren más cosas :-( --Ecemaml talk to me/habla conmigo 23:26, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

¿Qué le has hecho? ¿También te ha llamado censor? ¿O miembro de la Inquisición? ;-) --Ecemaml talk to me/habla conmigo 23:47, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Un saludo y gracias --Ecemaml talk to me/habla conmigo 22:42, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Thank you very much for the barnstar! :) When I heard that en.WP wanted to transwiki their categories of FP desktop backgrounds, I thought that was a great idea. Looking at what we had for our categories, we were seriously lacking. (I think there was only 13 widescreen ones to start with.) I still got the non-widescreen ones to do, but thankfully there's not as many. ;) It's good to know my work's appreciated. Thanks again! Cheers, Rocket000 20:50, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I must agree with Ecemaml (for the first time? :p) and look forward to seeing you around, but only when you are ready and you want to be. Your work here is great, and you should not be discouraged by what is nothing more than a very inconsequential issue. Being hated comes with the package, I'm sure most admins will vouch for that! hola, no consigo evitar que me borren mis fotos.

maps

As a fellow admin you should know that 3RR rule does not apply when one side is vandalizing. The other user, Mareklug, keeps repeating my edits are personal for some reason even though I supply sources on Wikipedia. Now when you were elected just like any other admin you probably had to answer some questions, one of them about vandalism. And the first vandalism on how to recognize vandalism is Blanking - Removing all or significant parts of pages' content without any reason, or replacing entire pages with nonsense. Sometimes important verifiable references are deleted with no valid reason(s) given in the summary....The other user removed my edits saying they are personal. That is not a valid summary. He provided no sources. I would like you to look into facts of the situation before throwing the last warning at me without previous discussion. Thank you --Avala 20:12, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kosovo_relations.png Kosovo_relations.svg - content of the frozen versions

Por favor, I appreciate that you are intervining to stabilize content, and that you placed identical warnings on two user talk pages (one of them mine), but would you please look at the content of what you left in place protected (i.e. uncorrectable)? As a Spanish speaker, you can read the Chile's Ministry of External Affairs press release, and see, what it means, as well as note, that Fidel Castro's newspaper rant on Javier Solana's person is not the same as offcial position of Cuba, the state, recognizing or not Kosovo's independence. Ditto for Macedonia, which is negotiating with Kosovo border demarcation as we speak (so it is leaning toward recognizing it formally; else, why would it be negotiating with the government in Pristina and not the one in Belgrade?). All these countries have been falsely portrayed on the map as of today by Avala, and this map is used on a variety of Wikimedia projects. Please at least read the objections other editors have raised re: Avila's edits concerning this matter on w:Talk:Diplomatic reaction to the 2008 Kosovo declaration of independence‎. IMHO you should restore status quo ante. Best wishes, --Mareklug talk 20:19, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please open the Wikipedia article and look through sources. Fidel Castro has been elected to guide Cuban foreign policy (yes the thing you called rant is his politics) one week after retirement as President, leader etc and Raul vowed to listen to his views. We may like or dislike his approach but we can not blank it because we dislike it. Countries that do not recognize Kosovo have no legal obligation to publish any official statement. They can only explain their position to the media by any high official or representative of the country which can be president, prime minister, minister, ambassador, secretary, leader whatever. Only those who are changing their position are obliged to publish that as an official document which is adopted in prescribed procedure. And Chile which asked for all parties to agree through discussion fits into category of countries which support negotiations. All this can be seen on Wikipedia page and in image legend and making lengthy posts with different claims to confuse other people will not help twist the truth. The only thing that matters is sources on Wikipedia not original research and personal views. May I remind you I was the first to deny inclusion of Indonesia on the orange list which doesn't go well with my description as POV pusher but rather what I claim to be - editor who is making edits based on sources. Your edits are reverted by other users on Wikipedia as well. --Avala 20:26, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
POV-motivated reverts do not necessarily indicate faulty edits on my part! And countries communicate via diplomatic channels, including issuing press releases and notes, even Cuba. Surely we can distinguish between what a politician said and what officially has transpired whn talking about diplomatic recognition! So, inclusion of inappropriate sources and bending evidence (as in the case of Chile and Cuba), albeit equipped with a supscripted reference, is also a form of vandalism. Removal of vandlism is not blanking, but removal of poorly sourced or false information. Since you are an administrator on the Serb Wikipedia, I am appalled that you use these arguments wrongly. And if you only made edits based on sound selection of sources, there'd not be an issue, but you are engaging in questionable, badly sourced changes. I, too, removed Iceland from the list of officially recognizing countries, so on equal footing, you have no claim on me, that I am propagating an anti-Serbia POV. Macedonia should be light blue (intending to recognize), Cuba gray (no position), and Chile khaki (impartial) -- and that reflects the true state of evidence as of today, regardless of doctored sourcing. --Mareklug talk
Article is about international reaction not recognition only. That is why we include parties and entities as well. You keep claiming I misquoted news on Cuba and I asked you to point at words I have falsified but of course you couldn't respond to that because I didn't. If you can point at specific word I changed regarding Castro's position in foreign policy do it, if you can't stop spreading around that I am misquoting. Anyway your latest personal attacks against me have caused several users to stand up against that as part of the official policy of no personal attacks. --Avala 21:11, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You sourced Cuba's official position, which does not exist, with a rant by Castro, who may be influential, but whose rant does not constitute Cuban official position. Is this so hard to acknowledge? That's incorrect sourcing. So what, that you quoted Fidel's personal attack on Solana to the letter? You have misquoted in other instances, such as claiming that I called you "mr. Serb." when I called you "Mr. Serb Wikipedia Administrator". In article space, you did misquote Armenian foreign minister , by omitting the word "yet" from his say, and the inconveninet facts he stated immediately afterwards, that the official decision is pending, thereby completely changing the meaning of his utterance, and then using this for your purposes of documenting Armenia as officially not recognizing Kosovo. And on this basis, you altered the article, and the map, not once, but repeatedly.. So you have misquoted. And, honesty would require disclosing, that the two editors standing up on your behalf are the other two of the troika (you included) introducing Serbia-slanting in the Kosovo recognition content. Complaining of shoddy edits made by an experienced user (an admin on another project) is hardly making personal attacks. If anything, it's attacking the whole credibility of giving adminships on Serb Wikipedia, as an outrage, if you want a clarification. Complaining about misleading edits is exactly sanctioned and expected, whenever shoddy edits are made. In this case, they are continually further obfuscated by rejoinders/accusations of "blanking vandalism" and "personal attacks". --Mareklug talk 23:17, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Guys, please take this fight elsewhere. Thanks! --Boricuæddie 23:18, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please unblock the Kosovo maps?

Dear Boricuaeddie, sorry to litter your talk page, but would you please unprotect the Kosovo recognition maps, so that, as you say, community can decide, by making requisite changes? I don't have to make any edits for my own part; I am confident the NPOV will win out. But do make it possible for people to correct the maps! Thank you, and that's all from me. --Mareklug talk 23:24, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

To answer, consensus on 100% of these maps is unlikely ever, but needed undisputed updates are currently an hourly possibility, as countries announce their positions. You protected the maps for stability's sake, yes? Now, please consider actual map use and the community's need to make non-edit war updates. These maps are a dynamic resource, so frequent changes are expected. Also, one of the two parties in that edit war confict has promised to abstain from editing; surely unprotecting makes sense. Should another edit war break out, protection can be reinstated. Let's have a little flexibility. :) Best, --Mareklug talk 00:15, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

question

Since when is blanking sourced edits not considered vandalism? If that is your opinion I suggest you start an initiative for this to be removed from vandalism definition on Wikipedia. Until the official policy is changed it will remain the sole thing all users and admins including me and you shall look at when solving disputes. I also suggest you not to start solving any matter unless you are willing to look into it deeper. No admin should come straight with block warnings. For an example you can see here [4] if any of the information in the table lacks sources and references and try to answer why is so many users reverting blanking done by mareklug? If you are not willing to solve the matter by prescribed step-by-step policy I think you shouldn't have started dealing with it in the first place. It is also not a good idea to block all non admins who are reverting unsourced and unexplained blanking. Thank you for reading. --Avala 23:48, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not accusing you but I am suggesting you to take everything in consideration or not take it at all. This user has called me names and has been blanking edits of various users including mine on Wikipedia which were subsequently reverted. I dislike being thrown into the basket with such users just because it's easier to block all parties involved then to take a look into it. I am quite aware that user mareklug is not a newbie vandal but a rather experienced one who blanks edits he dislikes on false pretenses that he is just removing POV. POV is when someone makes an unsourced edit full of his own personal views which I didn't do. All of my edits were sourced and if I deserve a block for following policies then so be it. --Avala 00:08, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eddie, please reconsider your protection of this image. It documents current events (recognition of Kosovo's independence). Wikipedia cannot allow so many days without important updates just because a couple of users are warring about minor things. Please consider unprotecting the image and eventually warning/blocking the warring users as an alternative but effective method to prevent any disruption. Thanks. Apoyo para subir imágenes

Hola Boricua,

Puedes ayudarme a subirla?
