Hi, I noticed your recent comment concerning an allegation where you allege I have abused the administrator tools on the English Wikipedia. I am most concerned by this and would appreciate diffs to show your complaint. Hi, I've looked at the diffs you provided, and from what I can see, there was no abuse of the tools (and nobody else thought there was either), we had a clear difference of opinion regarding blocking users for making inaccurate reports on usernames, and you reduced the thread to a personal level with "If you can't do this and you think everyone who makes an erroneous report is acting in bad faith and looking to destroy Wikipedia, then you obviously are not fit to have admin rights." - I still consider such comments unnecessary and inflammatory, especially considering the discussion was over a simple difference in opinion. Hi there, Happy New Year

I could really use some help, as I am lost when I start manipulating images. I produced a modified version of an image which contained your details - (Adams_Michael_2007.jpg) - I think you vetted it's authenticity from Flickr, or similar. My modified version, which I believe is fair under the terms of the license, is called Adams_Michael2_2007.jpg. It is a cropped version of the source image. But when uploading it, I was clueless as to what I should have included in terms of licensing, permission, author etc. I have therefore copied across the licensing info from the source image and put lots of notes on to say it is a modified image only. Could you have a look and rectify my clumsy approach, perhaps give me some guidance for any future ventures of this kind? Many thanks for your time. Unfortunately because of caching the sitenotice can't be translated like that. It is a known bug. :(

But for the recent fundraiser, they somehow had translated sitenotices. I wrote to wikitech-l just now to see if there is any way we can use that.

I'm sorry to dump a problem in your lap

...but I'm tired to the point that parts of my mind keep flickering on and off, and while I'm an underwhelming admin over at the English wikipedia my knowledge of commons customs amounts to male genitalia. It seems that a newcomer uploaded an image of a horse term over an image of a telescope that shares the name. I'd be obliged if you were to sort this matter out, preferably while taking into account the lack of malice. --Kizor 02:55, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
