Hello,
I have a question about this category. As I understand it August 1620 Prince Maurice set up camp near the German town of Wesel to protect the Republic from a possible invasion by Spinola and/or as a base to give assistance to the Protestant Union of Germany (against Spinola). Not to conquer Wesel itself. Is that correct? If so maybe this category should be renamed Category:Dutch army camp near Wesel, 1620 or something similar.

- Yes, your perspective is correct, I also understand that camp was not for the capture of Wesel itself, but for the Pfalz expedition by the English Army.

- The original category should be redirected rather than deleted, to use "Template:Category redirect".

Reinier Pauw[edit]
Ik heb vandaag een pagina aangemaakt over Reynier Pauw op de engelse Wikipedia. Nu zie ik dat de categorie:Reinier Pauw, bijna niet te wijzigen is, tenzij je er verstand van hebt. Als je alle Reynier Pauw's die naar rechts kijken verplaatst en achterelkaar zie je dat het steeds om dezelfde man en afbeelding gaat. Een kijkt naar links, dat is ook Reynier Pauw (1564-1636) maar dan gespiegeld. Dan blijft zijn zoon Reinier R. Pauw (1593-1676) over en die was heer van Ter Horst. In de 17e eeuw werd ook al gerotzooid met afbeeldingen. MvgTaksen (talk) 14:17, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
