Risposta elaborata: teoricamente sì, ma se si avesse la certezza che il soggetto che pubblica quel medium sotto licenza libera sia effettivamente il detentore dei diritti. Se il file fosse, per esempio, preso dal canale ufficiale youtube di un artista o di una casa discografica, siamo ragionevolmente certi che il file è licenziato correttamente. Rimozione foto da Commons

Ciao. Ho appena concluso un progetto scolastico per la realizzazione della voce del Liceo delle Scienze umane Duca d'Aosta di Padova. All'interno della voce c'è una tabella con le foto dei quadri della collezione della scuola e oggi mi sono accorta che non è più presente una foto che sicuramente era stata immessa ieri. Ho cercato in Commons e non l'ho trovata. Ho cercato di ricaricarla, ma il sistema mi dice che il file esisteva ed è stato rimosso. Potrei caricare l'immagine ugualmente, ma vorrei sapere il motivo della rimozione. Ti segnalo che ieri, mentre i ragazzi caricavano le foto sulla tabella, ad un certo punto ne sono scomparse alcune e abbiamo dovuto ricaricarle. Non vorrei che qualcuno si stia divertendo a distruggere il nostro lavoro. Mi hanno consigliato di rivolgermi a te. Licenze

Ciao, scusa il disturbo. Mi è stata notificata la cancellazione in immediata di una serie di immagini che avevo caricato, col motivo "violazione di copyright". Si trattava di immagini di deputati e avevo inserito la licenza dati.camera.it. Pur avendoli caricati tutti insieme con uploadWizard, avevo immediatamente indicato la licenza, con link allo specifico deputato e categorie. La licenza non è self, e la fonte non è own perché sono foto della Camera. Quindi il buon @Elcobbola: , avendo trovato una licenza non conforme, ovvero avendo ragionevolmente dedotto che quei dati non potevano essere tuoi, non ha potuto far altro che cancellare. Sì, però subito dopo avevo indicato la licenza giusta (come ho fatto qui, Revision #428601977). Praticamente, per far prima, li ho caricati tutti insieme (in due mandate) con uploadWizard, licenza "cc-by-sa-4.0", source "own" e author "151 cp"; poi ho modificato ciascun singolo file mettendo la fonte (il link al sito della camera), l'autore (unknown) e la licenza (dati.camera). Quando Elcobbola li ha cancellati, li avevo già tutti corretti da una mezz'oretta (ha cancellato anche File:Mario Baccini 2001.jpg, dove la licenza e le altre informazioni erano corrette sin dal 19 maggio scorso). A questo punto, possono essere ripristinati (non bisogna modificare nulla, la licenza e il resto sono corretti), oppure devo fare nuovi upload? --151 cp (talk) 23:26, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

Ciao caro, ti segnalo File:Pachyphytum hookeri.JPG. La foto ritrae in realtà (sono sicuro al 90%) una Kalanchoe thyrsiflora (vedi File:Kalanchoe thyrsiflora 1zz.jpg). Quel che è sicuro è che non è un Pachyphytum hookeri (che è questa). Probabilmente l'etichetta nella foto si riferisce ad una pianta che non si vede in foto. Assistenza per una cancellazione che ritengo arbitraria.

Se sei disponibile a darmi una mano, vorrei capire bene i motivi di una cancellazione che ritengo arbitraria ed eventualmente richiedere il ripristino del file. Prima però vorrei tanto un tuo aiuto perchè ci tengo ad evitare di innescare edit wars o battibecchi. La cancellazione è questa e su tale argomento ho chiesto un parere legale allo Sportello Creative Commons qui. Dato che non me la cavo benissimo con l'inglese, potrei essermi espresso male nella discussione, in tal caso ti posso spiegare in italiano gli eventuali punti poco chiari. -- Fulvio ³¹⁴ 16:00, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

@Fulvio314: , lì posso fare poco, in mancanza di Paese di provenienza bisogna considerare protetta quell'immagine. Sono convinto sia una fesseria perché secondo me il primo che l'ha messa in giro nemmeno sa di avere fatto un'opera sotto diritto d'autore, né chiederà mai compensi e royalty sulla stessa, ma tant'è. Però puoi fare una cosa, prendere una mappa SVG d'Europa di quelle libere su Commons e aggiungervi i dati che c'erano sulla mappa cancellata. -- Blackcat 17:06, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

@Blackcat: Grazie per la risposta, ma ho ancora bisogno di chiarimenti, riguardano un principio fondamentale e non sono limitati a questo singolo caso. Vorrei chiederti gentilmente che ti leggessi con calma le discussioni relative al punto in questione: il copyright sui contorni degli stati. La richiesta è partita per una presunta violazione del copyright sui contorni dell'Europa (attenzione, non sul contenuto della mappa), poi è andata in off topic diverse volte, sia nei pareri favorevoli che nei pareri contrari, ma se i contorni di quella mappa sono da considerare protetti, mi crolla tutto ciò che mi hanno spiegato in passato (vedi questa bellissima spiegazione risalente a qualche anno fa, che per me è stata una pietra miliare). In secondo luogo, mi amareggia molto scoprire che le regole stabilite dalla comunità possono essere cambiate a giudizio del singolo, senza discussione, in base al punto di vista soggettivo di una parte in causa in un'altra discussione. Il risultato è piuttosto destabilizzante. Può un amministratore cambiare le regole a sua discrezione, ignorare un parere legale, ignorare il risultato della discussione e cancellare lo stesso il file? A me sembra autoritarismo non coerente con le regole di Wikipedia. In ultimo: purtroppo non posso ricostruire la mappa perchè non sono io l'autore, non era opera mia, non l'ho caricata io (sono stato coinvolto probabilmente perchè credo di aver fatto qualche modifica minore), non posso risalire all'autore, al file o ai suoi contenuti e non ho alcun dato/fonte/riferimento per rifarla (altra nota amara, qualcuno ci avrà speso delle settimane per produrla e con un click... tutto in fumo). Errore di modica entità concernente il copyright tag

Salve, la contatto per avere dei chiarimenti in merito a un file da me caricato in data odierna 25/04/2021 che provvedo ad allegare Media:Milva cantante.jpg. Ho caricato il file ma ho commesso un errore nell'inserimento del copyright tag (lettera minuscola al posto di una maiuscola). Ho provveduto a modificare il tag, infatti adesso il file risulta allegato di regolare licenza, ma nonostante ciò, la deletion template continua ad essere presente e io non so eliminarla. Può gentilmente provvedervi lei oppure mi può spiegare come fare? Cordiali saluti, Ciao4312

1. quando il bot mette la firma automatica non modificarla. Hai tolto la firma che il bot aveva inserito, e non sapevo dove rispondere.
2. il problema non è il copyright tag, è che quella foto manca completamente di informazioni di copyright e qui non può stare. Quando è stata scattata? Dove? Neppure la data indicata è giusta. Ho dovuto cancellarla perché così stando le cose è una fotografia in violazione di copyright. -- Blackcat 20:31, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Non era mia intenzione rimuovere la firma del bot, evidentemente avrò toccato qualcosa: è la prima volta che mi capita una cosa simile e non sapevo come comportarmi. Detto ciò la foto proviene da un articolo di giornale ed è degli anni 80, ovviamente non conosco né l’autore (di solito scrivo unknown e mi limito a incollare il link dall’articolo ove ho preso l’immagine) né tantomeno il luogo ove è stata scattata per cui come data ho inserito quella di caricamento del file (oggi) in base a quanto scritto nel form di compilazione. @Ciao4312: , se la foto è degli anni ottanta non può stare su Commons. Questo taglia pure corto ogni discussione su dove sia stata scattata, perché è dirimente il quando. Una fotografia italiana, per essere ospitata su Commons come immagine in pubblico dominio, o deve avere il copyright scaduto, oppure, se caricata con la regola dei vent'anni, deve essere stata scattata in Italia prima del 1 gennaio 1977 e pubblicata per la prima volta in Italia prima del 1 gennaio 1979 perché nel 1996 gli Stati Uniti hanno deciso unilateralmente (facendo una forzatura perché unici nel mondo, ma tant'è) di riconoscere il copyright (non retroattivamente, per fortuna) a tutte le foto straniere secondo i termini dei 70 anni pma indipendentemente dal loro status nel Paese d'origine. Quindi no, anche se in Italia è in pubblico dominio per scadenza ventennale del diritto esclusivo per foto non artistiche, su Commons non può stare perché qui vige la legge degli Stati Uniti. -- Blackcat 21:26, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

Consulenza su immagine molto deteriorata

Ciao, dato che l'utenza ha creato più di un grattacapo dichiarando di conoscere bene linee guida in it.wiki, secondo te File:MadonnadellaScalaantica.jpg potrebbe essere un frame di un video? A parte la qualità pessima dell'immagine e che è possibile che sia effettivamente un vecchio filmato, mi sa che almeno per quanto riguarda le licenze deve dare una bella ripassata (come minimo non dichiararsi autore di immagini storiche). Ciao, mi sono infilato in un problema... non essendoci (credo) un nome-standard per questo tipo di template, non vedendolo impiegato in sottocategorie ho creato un doppione di {{Padua-year}}, ovvero {{Paduayear}} (basandomi sul {{Romeyear}} che avevo già utilizzato per creare {{Rovigoyear}}). Questo mio è un po' più completo del precedente perché introduce un paio di sottocategorie in più che spesso mi sono state utili per risalire alle categorie madri/provinciali/regionali (e con le millemila immagini ancora mal categorizzate o orfane è un lavoro risparmiato per il futuro). Arrivando al dunque, se faccio un redirect dal "vecchio" template al nuovo, come funziona ad esempio con i template bandierina di it.wiki, risolvo? Si riesce a trovare uno standard eliminando i doppioni (che non sono pochi)? Purtroppo nelle discussioni "tecniche" la mia proprietà di linguaggio in inglese è carente e più volte la cosa o si è arenata o mi si è rivoltata contro proprio perché non riesco a ribattere efficacemente. Già che ci sono vado OT: parlando di template bandierina ne ho appena trovato una .png non categorizzata per "colore" (File:600px Bianco e Rosso con due stelle.png) ma non ricordo mai come si possa richiedere una conversione in .svg per poi orfanizzarle e infine cancellarle, mi metteresti un appunto nella mia talk così che poi lo possa trovare con facilità? Hai poi tempo/voglia di scorrere Category:Uncategorized media with description in Italian language dove ve n'è più d'una ma che per i miei problemi di discromatopsia ho alle volte problemi a inserirli correttamente? Utente bloccato e suoi file protetti, si può fare nulla?

Ciao, sai che per rilassarmi e non impegnare troppo il cervello passo in Commons a controllare immagini, spostare o aggiungere categorie, rimuovere categorie troppo generiche, categorizzare alla bisogna immagini orfane etc etc. Ultimamente avevo incrociato i contributi di Flavmi (talk · contribs), se non ricordo male perché aveva caricato decine e decine di immagini orfane, poi ho notato che alcune di quelle che avevo messo a posto sparivano (poi ho capito perché ma IMO se non avesse attirato su di se qualche sospetto un po' di quelle immagini secondo me potevano pure rimanere), e arrivando al dunque ora mi trovo alcune sue immagini inserite nell'unica categoria madre Category:Italy senza poter intervenire. Ho visto le motivazioni che hanno causato questa decisione, ineccepibile, ma dato che è stato bloccato per 3 mesi dici che se si sbloccano possa agire da IP? C'è un modo per intervenire senza che te ne prenda tu l'onere e lasciare a me il lavoro sporchissimo?--Threecharlie (talk) 04:04, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Dai che poi per un po' non rompo più...

Altro quesito sugli standard di template per categorizzazioni automatiche: Dopo aver visto che i tedeschi hanno introdotto una categorizzazione di foto per mese e anno per nazione, ho pensato di aggiornare i template per le città italiane (alcuni li ho creati io clonando quelli esistenti) ma noto che ci sono due linee di pensiero. Un IP ha creato numerose categorie usando un template generalista, il {{Minx}}, usato ad esempio in Category:September 2012 in Ancona, mentre io creo un clone per ogni città, vedi il {{Rovigomonthyear}} come ad esempio {{Rovigomonthyear|2012|December}} (PS: se mi modifichi {{Romemonthyear}} inserendoci "In Italy" prima del "by City" nella categoria mi faresti una cortesia). Ora ho il dubbio che il {{Minx}} possa essere imposto come standard dato che è un template precedente, però vorrei salvare quello che c'è di buono in quello dato che offre un template di navigazione tra mesi e anni che quello "Cittàmonthyear" non integra. @Threecharlie: devo dire che non ho approfondito il {{Minx}} perché francamente quando vedo tutte queste nidificazioni fatte da zelanti smanettoni mi verrebbe da dire Afangàla! come Paolo Panelli. Personalmente ho paura che a toccarlo per inserirci tutte le categorizzazioni automatiche, incluse mese anno in Paese by city smerdiamo qualcosa. Colori bandierina errati

Ciao, avevo detto che non ti seccavo più ma avrei bisogno di una cortesia (lo sapessi fare io non romperei, magari prima o poi me lo insegni). Ci sono i colori sociali di un template bandierina di un'università statunitense errati, sono sicuro di averli presi da qualche template di pallacanestro, baseball o football americano (quando creo quelle per le calciatrici vado a caccia in quelli) ma solo creando lo stub dell'università ho visto l'errore; morale ci sarebbe da creare una bandierina bordeaux+grigio e vedere di spostare in una categoria consona (che poi possa ricordare) quelle che sono presenti in Category:Bordeaux objects. Il template dove sostituire la bandierina è il it:template:Calcio femminile University of Northwestern Ohio Racers, la voce dell'università è en:University of Northwestern Ohio.--Threecharlie (talk) 21:21, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

@Blackcat: Sorry for the disturbance and private messaging, but over the past months I encountered strange behavior of Kazimier Lachnovič and his friend Лобачев Владимир. They performed mass edit warring against me at the English Wikipedia at the article named Pahonia (all their content was removed by administrator and they were warned), then I noticed that Kazimier uses word rubbish (1, 2, 3) to refer to the Lithuanians, his friend also performed edit warring at the Coat of arms of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth when he attempted to remove the Lithuanian coat of arms (with blue color) and instead replaced it with a more similar one to the Belarusian (he performed the same actions in other languages Wikipedias of the same article as well). These two closely collaborates by performing anti-Lithuanian actions and even attempted to prove that the Coat of arms of Lithuania (Pahonia is one of its historical names) is a Belarusian coat of arms (this edit). My concerns about his anti-Lithuanian actions was strengthened by the fact that he immediately attacked me and Elli when we simply inserted a Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas name (this report includes the list of these renaming). Moreover, he also previously removed Latin text from a title (here), which included the name of Lithuania in Latin. My edits were also censored by Kazimier's friend here and here. All this anti-Lithuanian activity, removal of Lithuania's name in non-Cyrillic text, censorship of the Lithuanian rulers names in the Lithuanian language raised a lot of concerns for me that two users from Belarus/Russia are actively performing anti-Lithuanian activities. Something is not right when a Lithuanian is censored in Lithuanian topics and when we are called as rubbish by such strange persons as Kazimier. My home country (Lithuania) has said a lot of criticism for Russia and Lukashenko, so maybe these two users are making a revenge for our support to Ukraine, Belarusian democratic politicians, and Alexey Navalny. Our country is often attacked by propaganda from the East, so an attacking of our symbols, rulers reminds one of these anti-Lithuanian propaganda acts, and so I needed for help to find out if such activity does not violate the rules (in English Wikipedia they did violated the rules and were stopped). Unexplained redirect of categories

Girl groups are specific all-female groups and I don't see any reason to redirect all of these categories. You also need to explain why you don't want "to discuss it any longer", as numerous sources explicitly talk about girl groups, and not all-female groups (see [2], [3], [4], [5] for example).   @Synthwave.94: first of all, this is Commons, not en.wiki. We must be as more specific as possible. Girl group doesn't mean a thing here. What does it identify? A group of girls? Most source would write "football" regardless it's American, Australian, or association, but you won't write only "Football" here but "American football", "Association football" and so on. 2. explain me in convicing way what is the difference between a girl group and an all-female musical group.   PS Anyway Billboard, which is a more reliable source than the onew you mentioned, talks about all-female groups, not girl groups.

  "Girl group" is a common, and established, term in the music industry, but so is Category:Boy bands. We distinguish American from Association football because they are significantly different to require doing so. To be consistent, you should move everything in Category:Boy bands to Category:Young male, mostly manufactured, musical groups. But please don't. Meanwhile, CfD is still available. Categories on Commons aren't tags which can be added. Placing an element into a category means hiding it to its mother category. You're absolutly wrong here. Girl group means something and has a clear definition as per Girl Culture: An Encyclopedia : "a girl group is a musical group featuring several young female singers; it differs from a girl band, which features young women both singing and playing musical instruments." The entry for "Girl bands" gives a similar definition : "Girl bands are musical groups in which girls and young women sing and play all the instruments. This is different from a girl group, in which women sing but do not play instruments." Leaders of the Pack: Girl Groups of the 1960s and Their Influence on Popular Culture in Britain and America also makes the difference between "females in girl groups (who didn't play instruments) and females in girl bands (who did play instruments)". The Encyclopædia Britannica entry by Lucy O'Brien describe girl groups as "primarily American female vocal groups popular from the early to the mid-1960s", while AllMusic's Richie Unterberger cite several 60s girl groups such as the Chantels, the Shirelles and so on (note that O'Brien and Unterberger are both notable music journalists/writers). As you can see, a girl group is not the same thing as a girl band, and all of the sources mentioned above are more than enough to justify the presence of Girl groups (and all the associated you incorrectly redirected so far) on Wikimedia Commons. Categoria doppia, dubbio singolo

Ciao, chiedo a te, nel caso sia da far prendere una decisione a qualche teutonico admin o che sia la comunità a deciderte cosa sia più adatto come nome della categoria. Trovando un'immagine approssimativamente categorizzata, essendo evidentemente un campanile della relativa chiesa ho creato, come in altri casi, una categoria apposita, sia perché la tipologia architettonica dell'edificio (come torre) non è detto rispecchi quello della chiesa, e poi perché (in questo caso non lo so ma è probabile) la data di erezione è diversa ed essendo una torre sapendone l'altezza esiste pure una categoria di torri d'Italia per altezza. Una volta creata la Category:Madonna dell'Angelo (Caorle) - Church tower però mi sono accorto che esisteva già Category:Caorle lighthouse, collegata a Wikidata in quanto hanno scritto una voce (it:Campanile del Santuario della Madonna dell'Angelo) che in altre wiki è intitolata (IMO impropriamente) faro di Caorle. Che si fa? Faccio un redirect dalla seconda che punti alla prima? Per tenere la seconda IMO avrebbe forse un senso che vi fossero delle foto che ne indichino inequivocabilmente la funzione di faro, ma ce ne sono un paio, quella storica con l'appendice e quella notturna dove si vede la luce. Reggio Emilia vs Reggio nell'Emilia

Ciao, perdona se vengo a rompere le scatole su questa annosa vicenda. Dato che sto lavorando per creare le categorie per data di scatto su questa città, come già prassi di altre e per infilarne alcune grossolanamente categorizzate, sono capitato su Category:Arcades in Reggio Emilia che ha un redirect creato da te (ma al tempo in cui è uscita sta cosa del "nell'Emilia" in it.wiki l'avevo fatto pure io) che punta a Category:Arcades in Reggio nell'Emilia (e meno male che non ce n'è uno made in Arbalete con il carattere tipografico it:apostrofo, che sia da creare un redirect pure da quello?), per cui ora, così come con le cat legare a Reggio Calabria, esistono sottocat nominate in un modo e nell'altro. Tralasciando l'annosa disputa nome più diffuso vs più corretto (io sarei per quello più semplice, conoscendoti anche tu ma potrei sbagliare) credo sia il caso di uniformare il tutto, decidendo se usare l'uno o l'altro e creando le cat redirect alla bisogna, per cui che si fa? Si passa nel bar italiano, o in quello generalista (con il rischio che poi arrivino i teutonici con la scure), o si usa il buon senso e si fa quel che si è (ri)deciso in it.wiki (sperando che duri)? Cioè, può darsi che il tuo discente abbia problemi col copyright ma qui potrebbe averci azzeccato per puro caso: la copertina del libro riporta una stampa chiaramente in pubblico dominio (l'editore non può costruire un copyright su un lavoro che il copyright non ce l'ha) e il testo non è tutelabile perché è un titolo e non è originale come è impostato, un quadrato bianco con il testo. Quindi pure per errore questa copertina può essere in PD per mancanza di elementi tutelabili. -- Blackcat 13:09, 18 June 2021 (UTC)

...il nostro "amico" affezionato a treni e locuzioni germaniche sia stato avvisato/bannato/riproverato? Perché mi sono imbattuto in Labintatlo (talk · contribs) che sta creando template di navigazione automatici "non standard" (forse). Me ne sono accorto perché io ho appena creato il {{Bolzanomonthyear}} non accorgendomi che lui aveva già creato il {{Month by year in Bolzano}} (oltre a {{Month by year in Rome}}, doppione pure quello che ha iniziato a sostituire a quello "classico"). Non vorrei proliferassero template "doppi", già ora ho controllato che ci sono numerose categorie relative a Roma che puntano ora all'uno e ora all'altro. In ogni caso, sia chi sia, sti template doppi sono un problema, io non sono certo quello che punta i piedi dicendo che ho ragione, ho semplicemente trovato quello che sembrava "standard" e l'ho clonato più volte per ogni città capoluogo di provincia che avesse un importante quantitativo di immagini. Ok, sarà una fissa, ma (se te l'ho già scritto perdonami per la ripetizione) ci sono immagini di uno stesso soggetto, tipo edificio, che negli anni è mutato nell'aspetto, perché vittima di un evento catastrofico, o un restauro, o anche una semplice ripittura con diverse tonalità cromatiche, tipo chiese della mia zona che mutano un set di colori tipicamente veneto a uno tipicamente emiliano per ragioni (spero) filologiche/storico/eccelsiastico, in pratica sono più semplici da trovare quando ne discutiamo su gruppi social a tema architettonico/storico.
