Flickr2Commons[edit]

I have just come across a few images you have recently uploaded from Flickr. I would appreciate it if in the future, you used the Flickr2Commons tool. This tool allows images to be moved to Commons from Flickr without having to download the images to your own computer. It also brings in the largest resolution of the image, as well making sure to list the correct license and url, making it easy for the automated Flickr Review system. Also, it is fairly easy to categorize images with this tool. To use it, you just need to go to the url and authorize it (where it says "authorise first"). Hi, actually, I'd rather use the upload file Wizard. The reason I also like downloading the files to my computer is so that I can edit them. You actually substituted my edited versions, which were clearer and brighter and at roughly the same resolution in exchange for the much duller and color-imbalanced originals. I would really like to be explained why what I did was counter to the overall good/goals of Wikipedia, a violation of policy, or why my edits were so bad that the originals are that much better. I guess I shouldn't restore anymore historic photos if someone is just going to overwrite them with the unedited original. Bibliographies-BreakfastOfChampions (talk) 17:00, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
