John F. Phillips photographs[edit]
Thanks so much for uploading some great images. Please note, however, that Bennett Jones Phillips needs to send an email, pursuant to the instuctions at COM:OTRS, in which he explains the he is the heir to John F. Phillips and that he has released the images under the free licenses shown. You need only do it once for all of the images John F. Phillips you have uploaded. Please feel free to leave me a note if you have any questions. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 14:09, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- This would apply similarly to any photos you have uploaded from House of Anansi Press or other sources. You will need to forward to OTRS the permission you received from the source. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 14:13, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- Done I have now obtained permission slips from the authors of ALL SEVEN of my images, Skeezix - am sending the last one back to Wikimedia tonight. Thanks for telling me about these instructions so, um, politely. - Babel41 (talk) 06:07, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- I'm glad it's taken care of. Thanks.--Skeezix1000 (talk) 10:54, 3 September 2011 (UTC)

File tagging File:Mark Satin in 1978.jpg[edit]
On 24 April 2016, Magog the Ogre left a large "Image permission not quite right" message box here. I removed it following the exchange below. - Babel41 (talk) 02:30, 23 May 2016 (UTC)
- @Magog the Ogre: Dear Magog, - On 25 April, Josve05a added OTRS permission to "File:Mark Satin in 1978". (I believe this was a result of Jonatan Glad obtaining additional information including a formal permission slip from the creator of the photo, Erich Hoyt.) May I now have your permission to remove this Autotranslate box from my Talk poage? Alternately, would you please do so? Thanks! - Babel41 (talk) 22:09, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, of course. You don't even need to ask permission to remove anything from your talk page, although I recommend providing an explanation while doing so. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 01:27, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Great, I have now done so, and am leaving our exchange intact as it not only includes my explanation but may be useful to others who are hesitant about eliminating big, intimidating-looking message boxes. - Babel41 (talk) 02:30, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

On 24 April 2016, Magog the Ogre left a large "Image permission not quite right" message box here. I removed it on 2 June 2016, after Rrburke added the requisite OTRS permission beneath the image. - Babel41 (talk) 22:18, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
