Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Beste Arjan, mocht u nog meer fotos hebben van de bruggen in Utrecht, dan kunt u die kwijt in de volgende categorieën, voeg de volgende code toe aan uw bestanden: [[Category:Bridges in Utrecht (city)]], [[Category:Rijksmonumenten in Utrecht (city)]] en [[Category:Oudegracht]] (waar toepasselijk). Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Wiki loves monuments

Hallo Arjan,

Je upload nog steeds foto's met het {{Wiki Loves Monuments 2011|nl}}-sjabloon. De wedstrijd is echter op 30 september afgelopen. De foto's die erna geüpload zijn met het sjabloon zijn van harte welkom, maar zullen niet meer mee kunnen doen aan de wedstrijd.

OK, ik dacht misschien is er wat marge, maar maakt niet uit belangrijkste is dat ze beschikbaar komen op Wikimedia!

Attend the award ceremony of the Dutch Wiki Loves Monuments 2011

Dear Arjandb, We've already thanked you for your contribution to the Wiki Loves monuments photo contest. But with a contest, there are prizes to win! The award ceremony will be held in Utrecht on Saturday the 5th of November, at the end of the Dutch Wikimedia Conference at Media Plaza, held the same day. Media Plaza is located next to the Central Station in Utrecht, in the middle of the shopping mall. Admittance is free from 3pm onwards, just in time to catch the last few presentations at the WCN. Off course you can join us for the full day conference as well and enjoy a day full of information on wiki's and cultural heritage. Wiki Loves Monuments NL

Beste Arjandb,

Alle winnende foto's van Wiki Loves Monuments 2011 zijn ondertussen gedrukt als kalenders.

Wikimedia Nederland stelt er hier 100 van beschikbaar voor alle uploaders van de afbeeldingen. Geef op de bijgevoegde link je naam en adres en we sturen je kosteloos een exemplaar toe, als dank voor je deelname! Let op: op = op!! Bestel hier één kalender per adres.

Ook dit jaar zal er in september weer een Nederlandse Wiki Loves Monuments plaatsvinden, als onderdeel van de internationale wedstrijd. Meer informatie vind je tegen die tijd op http://www.wikilovesmonuments.nl/.
Ook zoeken wij nog vrijwilligers die het leuk vinden om mee te helpen met het organiseren van de landelijke wedstrijd of van locale evenementen (een "Wiki takes..." in je eigen woonplaats dus!). Meer informatie daarover vind je op de wiki van Wikimedia Nederland.

Dag. Zou je je ajb van User_talk:Multichill#Monumenten_en_duiding op de hoogte willen stellen. Zou je daarna templates als deze willen nalopen omdat het gebruik van dit symbool mbt rijksmonumenten onjuist en misleidend is voor de lezers. Dank en groet Sonty (talk) 22:29, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
