Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

I suggest you ask policy questions ("Is this an acceptable source?") at the Village pump. Copyright questions ("are personal letters protected by copyright?") at the Copyright Village Pump. Public domain

Please add the code {{Cc-zero}} to File:Ocicat on Cat Wheel.webm. This is the preferred way to release your work into the public domain. {{PD-self}} is also possible, but Cc-zero is preferred. There has to be a machine-readable license like that, otherwise the Wikimedia computers may explode. Or an admin starts messing with your files. Alexis Jazz Is it to late to add the code? How do I add it, where do I add it (at top or in the permissions= field. I had to run to an apptment, came back and finished up what I started, didn’t read your message until after I saved. Someone or something renanmed the video to cat on hamster wheel, inaccurate description. Renamed it to original., but in the dark if it will be deleted after 7 days, Not sure that everything is OK. Also I can’t find any WP script for use if I want to link to it. Like the ones they have when you upload an image.Oldperson (talk) 18:50, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

That's fine, both are allowed. The license header in wikicode looks like =={{int:license-header}}==. I'll remove the license header for this file as the license is now in the permission field. The file wasn't renamed by the way. I had added this description: "Running cat in running wheel". - Alexis Jazz ^{ping plz} 19:06, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Alexis Jazz I think I have done everything right, but I don’t understand this warning, How do I resolve this problem. Warning: This media file does not have sufficient information on its copyright status. If you have created this file yourself, or the file is in the public domain, you can edit the file description page to license it under one of the allowed licenses. If you did not create it and it is not in the public domain, you must ask the copyright holder for permission to release it under one of the allowed licenses, and the written permission must be sent to our permission archive.

Alexis JazzI am on the verge of becoming a pain in the arse, but if you would one more time and I will desist. I uploaded another video “Ocicat on a leash climbing a tree” I think I did everything right, but now I can’t find the function to copy and paste the link to use on a wiki page. BTW I have already posted Ocicat on a cat wheel to the Ocicat page. I will eventually get the hang of this.ThanksOldperson (talk) 19:48, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

You can find your files at Special:ListFiles/Oldperson. On Wikipedia, you can click a small icon with mountains on it to open the image insertion dialog. - Alexis Jazz ^{ping plz} 19:51, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Ocicats

Alexis JazzJust jawboning. These girls are amazing. The article says dogs in a cats body, and that is so true. They are not afraid of dogs at all. Took them to a Petapalooza, all dogs, girls were on a leash and stalking dogs, smelling their butts. I take them for a walk all of the time, and they sniff everything. And they follow us around the house like dogs. Plunking down in front of the computer screen. Sleep on me at night. And they crave exercise. Ambush hunters. Learned a lot about cat behavior walking them on a leash. They walk you, not vice versa. They aren’t happy unless they are napping or laying next to you,like a dog. The small one is a "ghost" Ocicat, grey and spots are muted. She was the runt of the litter, but she is the aunt of the bigger one on the wheel, same father. Both weigh less than 10 lbs, just turned 8. The small one is shy, the other one extroverted and has to check out everyone and everything. Costly but worth every dime.
