Thanks for uploading File:Kintetsu 9820 series 9730 Hanshin Kobe-Sannomiya Station 2014-05-10 (37263879616).jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

RE: File Stalin Gonzalez

Hi, this photos are official photos of the Venezuelan National Assembly, I just download and upload to Commons using the correct copyright PD-template of the Venezuelan Gov with the official links to the website of the National Assembly of Venezuela. I think that you're wrong and don't check the permissions. --Enmanuel2307 (talk) 02:27, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

As for the particular image, the license on Flickr is “all rights reserved”, which is not allowed on Commons, so it will be deleted shortly. Thanks, let me know if you have questions. Ytoyoda (talk) 12:32, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Administrator?

Hi, Ytoyoda. Do you want to become a Commons administrator? I can create a request for that, but your acceptance is needed at first. Taivo (talk) 12:37, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

@Taivo: Hey, thanks for the message and sorry for not responding sooner. I'm interested, though what's the process like and how much of a time commitment is required? Ytoyoda (talk) 22:04, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, I forgot to say ... Commons:Administrators has appropriate links about process, request for adminship itself lasts one week. Time commitment – choose yourself, minimum is 5 administrator actions during half of year, maximum ... I have seen 10 thousand actions during month, although my personal top is 4000 actions during month. Be prepared to explain, what do you want to do with admin tools. Flickr Image Reviewer

While I appreciate your help, please do not review images like File:Batman The Ride (Six Flags Discovery Kingdom) construction 1.jpg if you are not a license reviewer. The template you used, {{Unfree Flickr file}} is strictly for license reviewers. Thanks, --Elisfkc (talk) 17:31, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

@Elisfkc: Sorry, thought the template could be used by any user. Ytoyoda (talk) 18:19, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
No problem, I thought the same thing at first. Just takes some learning.--Elisfkc (talk) 18:21, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
If you want to help, you can reupload the files in their original form from Flickr and let the bot do the actual review again (like I did on File:Assuit Main Street Flickr.jpg), as well as search for the correct url for files in Category:Unsourced Flickr images and then let the bot do the review again (which I also did on File:Assuit Main Street Flickr.jpg). --Elisfkc (talk) 18:49, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
You seem to be pushing lots of files through license review for Flickr items, though now entirely inside of what you are allowed to do as a non-license reviewer, both of which are greatly appreciated. If you want, you could request to become an official license reviewer so you don't have to wait on others. --Elisfkc (talk) 21:27, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
@Elisfkc: Thanks for the link, will definitely consider that. Ytoyoda (talk) 22:05, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Your recent tags for my uploaded pics

Please have a look at the provided Flickr URLs, every picture is marked by the creator as CC2.5, free for sharing, there is no further tagging needed. --GWRo0106 (talk) 18:28, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

@GWRo0106: Please check again. You provided this link for both images, and it says "all rights reserved". And the designer (probably) wouldn't own the rights to the product photo in the order form. Ytoyoda (talk) 18:48, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
@GWRo0106: So I went and included the correct Flickr links for the two photos. Unfortunately, they are both marked "non-commercial", which is not allowed on Commons. Ytoyoda (talk) 19:09, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
@Ytoyoda: First of all thanks. I did not knew that this is commercial here... anyway...the copyright holder is dead since 2015... — Preceding unsigned comment added by GWRo0106 (talk • contribs) 19:53, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
That's too bad, but thanks for checking in. Anyway, the idea behind Commons is that anyone can use the images here for any purpose, so you don't want to limit people from being able to use files here for things that could be considered for-profit. Ytoyoda (talk) 20:11, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Sasha Pieterse page

Hi can you please add File:Sasha Pieterse Pll ILovatic Flickr.png on deletion request so that wouldn't be delete, im not shure hwot to do it. --Yiwistar (talk) 00:42, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

@Yiwistar: I’m not sure what you’re asking for, to be honest. Adding a deletion request would not prevent the image from deleting it. But a couple of things:
  1. Please don’t edit the {{Flickrreview}} template. You are not a reviewer, so you do not have the power to do so. It needs to be reviewed by someone other than you.
  2. please don’t remove the {{No permission since}} template (in fact, I’ve already left a message in your talk page asking you not to}}.
As for the particular image, the license on Flickr is “all rights reserved”, which is not allowed on Commons, so it will be deleted shortly. Thanks, let me know if you have questions. Ytoyoda (talk) 12:32, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Grafika z 1939 r.

Witam.

@Foto Reves: Hi, if you can show that it was published in 1939, then I think you can use {{PD-Germany-§134}}. Even if you don't know the author, if it's clear that the copyright has expired, then I don't think it'll be a problem. Ytoyoda (talk) 13:21, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

Flog IT photo

Hi FLOG IT! photo of James Lewis. Could you possibly make my edited version the current one? You have uploaded the original, but I went to some lengths to crop this picture by a small amount in order to focus on the main subject, ie James lewis carrying out a valuation. I don't see how to change it? Thanks ArchaicW (talk) 13:34, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

@ArchaicW: Sorry, I meant to do that after running the {{Flickrreview}} template. But it's easy - just go to the image, scroll down to "File history", then hit "revert". Ytoyoda (talk) 13:37, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
@ArchaicW: I was trying to create a new version, but I ended up creating a cropped version at File:Flog It! BBC TV, James Lewis giving valuation (cropped).jpg. I know you blurred one person's face in your upload - feel free to do that and create a new version.
One thing you don't need to do is add author and license info on images - this is unnecessary and discouraged. It's more important to provide the Flickr URL *and* adding a {{Flickrreview}} tag in the file information page so a bot can verify the license. Ytoyoda (talk) 15:56, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for helpful replies - I'll try to get it sorted, although I must say I think Wikipedia's ways of doing things are far too complicated! ArchaicW (talk) 19:15, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

CfD: College athletics programs

Hi, I have started a discussion to rename a large collection of categories, one or more of which you may have created or edited. Please see the discussion thread at Commons:Categories for discussion/2020/04/College athletics programs for details. Thanks, IagoQnsi (talk) 04:11, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Re: Usage of your own Photos is ok!

There are no Copyright issues when you're uploading photos of yourself! Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sn29 (talk • contribs) 18:07, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

@Sn29: Are you the person photographed in File:Actress Shiva Negar.jpg? If that's the case, although you retain some personality rights over how the photograph is used, the copyright belongs to Getty Images. Since Getty Images is a commercial agency that publishes photographs for profit and does not release images under a free license, we cannot host their photographs here. Thanks.Ytoyoda (talk) 18:26, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

File:19 Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point house.jpg

Hi, I would like to create a new version of the image, but it won't let me. It keeps telling me the file already exists on Wikipedia when I upload it via commons. Ashton 29 (talk) 08:51, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Nevermind, figured it out. Ashton 29 (talk) 08:54, 27 April 2020 (UTC)

Ytoyoda sama, I Found two image violate the rule, pls delete them

Hi, Ytoyoda.

These two images are cropped from mlb.com movie, and the information are wrong too.佾珜 (talk) 16:42, 28 April 2020 (UTC)
@佾珜: I can list those files for deletion, though I'll ask you to provide details. Ytoyoda (talk) 19:38, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

Uploads by AlterĒvolvere tagged No permission

Hi, I noticed you used the tag {{No permission since}} on several images by AlterĒvolvere, like File:Cäsar Jacobson's Portrait.jpg. I notice this user uploaded another image (File:Cäsar Jacobson.jpg) that *looks* like it came from the same source, described as "Own Work", unlike the others. So, I was wandering if the {{No permission since}} is appropriate in that case as well, or if it can't be used when the user claims to have made the image themself. I would happily tag the image myself, but I don't know how it should be handled. I tried asking the user a question (here and on Wikipedia) and offered help, and haven't heard back. --Rob (talk) 01:44, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

@Thivierr: I think you're right, "F. Aviva Canon" is *probably* the same person as AlterĒvolvere. I don't really have any other good reason for tagging the image, so I'll remove it. Ytoyoda (talk) 14:23, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
I just noticed, one of the images you tagged, File:Casar Jacobson at United Nations 2017-03-08.jpg, actually should have been deleted after all, since it's just a copy of a non-free CC FlickR image, but a person with an entirely different name ("UN Women/Ryan Brown"). They used the same "F. Aviva" author here, as they did in other photos. Unfortunately, with the uploader not communicating, its impossible to know the status of any image. I'm not sure how any of these images should be tagged, or considered for deletion. --Rob (talk) 14:33, 3 May 2020 (UTC)
