User talk:٢١٩.١٧٤.١٥٨.٢٢٥~commonswiki
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

TRON character set characters[edit]
What's the real benefit of uploading such tiny GIF's? AnonMoos 13:06, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- These are KANJIs(Japanese-Kanji-characters and old-Chinese-character) and other language's characters, but not Unicode and ISO-code and Shift-JIS(or Japanese popular character set). These are TRON-Code(TRON Character Encoding) characters. Japanese Wikipedia needs these characters. And I think so better than uploading for the Wikimedia Commons, if why is exists items which it needs these characters.
- Example
-
- 則天文字(Wu Zetian's characters)
- アーヴ語(Baronh)
- --٢١٩.١٧٤.١٥٨.٢٢٥ 15:44, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
I know more or less what they are, but I don't see what the point is of uploading teeny-tiny GIFs of them... AnonMoos 00:04, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
These TRON images were a lost in 2008. Would you mind re-uploading the images missing from Category:Images affected by the September 2008 image loss bug? —Dispenser (talk) 19:32, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called ٢١٩.١٧٤.١٥٨.٢٢٥. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name ٢١٩.١٧٤.١٥٨.٢٢٥~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
