Simple ec (for edit count) function allows users to get a daily update of their edits.

How this works?

[edit]

To opt-in create Special:MyPage/simpleec.js. Just create it, the content does not matter :-). You can add true; for example.

Now the bot will create a /Edit count subpage. It may take a day (the bot is only running once at day).

I no longer want this

[edit]

The opt-in page must be deleted. Tag the page with {{Speedydelete}} and a admin will delete it.

The bot ignores me - Why?

[edit]

User with editcount less than 500 edits can't use this tool. Sorry - this is to preventing abuse.

How to use it?

[edit]

Well, you can included it in raw or you can use it with a template like {{User contrib}}.

You can also use parser function. For example:

  • Round: {{#expr: 225025 round -2 }} = 225000
  • Adding commas: {{formatnum:225025}} = 225,025
  • Both: {{formatnum:{{#expr: 225025 round -2 }}}} = 225,000

Using user contrib template: {{user contrib|{{User:SteinsplitterBot/Edit count}}}}

I don't like it

[edit]

If you don't like it, don't use it. You are not forced to use it. Seriously.

Please add a function to count uploads!
