Frenchman by choice (living in Provence) with German nationality and former professional life in the U.S. (near Boston, MA), that's why I consider myseld a world citizen. As diverse as my geographical background is my educational history: High school with a so-called humanistic focus (Latin and ancient Greek), a Master in Computer Science, specialized in IT applications in Medicine, evolved from R&D in the IT corporate world (Hewlett-Packard) to a global marketing position. Since 2003 I have been running a charming B&B (Chambres d'hôtes) near Avignon, France. Born in 1961 I am confident that this will not be the last step in my professional life and certainly is not yet retirement.

Tolerance and openness in thinking and for others' thoughts, opinions and preferences--without sacrificing your own value system--ate primary virtues to me. I consider their absence an indicator for narrowmindedness and a source of many avoidable conflicts and of useless controversies. Is that attitude not a perfect match to the Wikipedia principles? I am leaving that to you to judge.

By the way, my user name is my motto. It's the beginning of the Latin saying "Quidquid agis, prudenter agas et respice finem.", attributed to Aisop. Here's a translation for those less familiar with that extinct language: "Whatever you do, do it wisely and consider the end."
