d. It is a controversial/useless/stupid classification that is being used, but I want to stop that -> {{Delete}} and list on COM:DEL.

3. Why do you want it deleted?

a. I created it by mistake, it has a spelling mistake or it is unused and is unlikely to be used -> {{speedy|reason}}
b. It already exists under another name -> make it a redirect if it is used (#REDIRECT [[Template:New template name]]), or otherwise request speedy deletion.
c. It is a copyright tag but the basis for its claims is wrong, so the images using it are copyright violations -> {{Tfd}} (template for deletion) and list on COM:DEL. Also mention on Commons talk:Licensing, these claims need to be investigated thoroughly.

a. It looks like nonsense, spam, a copy of an article from Wikipedia, it is mostly text, there are no/few images -> {{speedy|reason}}
b. It already exists as another name, possibly in another language -> make it a redirect (#REDIRECT [[New page name]])

5. Why do you want it deleted?

I accidentally uploaded it under a bad name (badname)
I uploaded the wrong file (upload new one if account > 4 days, or else list on COM:HD)
I discovered two files that are the exact same (duplicate)
I discovered two files where one is a smaller version of the other (duplicate)
I discovered two files that show the same thing, including paintings, SVG flags (superseded, don't delete - if deletion wanted, list on COM:DEL)
I found out it is a copyright violation (go to 7)
It doesn't have enough source and/or licensing information (go to 8)
Another reason including quality, objectionable content -> ({{Delete}} and list on COM:DEL)

6. Mass deletion requests should always be listed on COM:DEL so that they are more visible to administrators as a group. If a user is uploading copyvios, they can be warned/educated and if they continue they should be blocked by an administrator. If you believe a copyright tag (template) has a wrong basis and all the images using it are copyvios, see 3c.

7. How do you know it is a copyright violation?

copied from another wikimedia project and has been deleted there/is under a non-free license there -> speedy
it's extremely unreasonable that the uploader holds the copyright or has obtained the right permission ('obvious copyvios) -> {{Copyvio}}
the main object of the image is a copyrighted object or logo -> COM:DEL
it's a screenshot of a computer or TV or similar device
I looked at the source and it says it is copyrighted
It looks like it was just grabbed off the internet
There is no reason to believe the license is correct (go to 8)
