"Poo Yigh Lee" is a song from the 1960's that is still wildly popular in Thailand, where it seems everyone knows it. It appears to spoof a village headman named Lee, who gets everything wrong; but really spoofs the Central Authority in Bangkok.

I am Pawyi Lee, an expatriate American living on sufferance in a remote Thai province, who is a caricature of Poo Yigh Lee.
