Padmaja Bose is a passionate writer, musician and student of Grade 8, in Calcutta International School. She was born on 25th July, 2002 and was raised across Bangalore, which was also her place of birth, Delhi and Kolkata, where she currently resides. She was recently conferred with the Order of Merit in the Asset Above-Level Talent Hunt 2015 by Duke University, North Carolina, USA. When she isn’t trying to bring her Hindi up to respectable levels, she enjoys strumming her guitar, photography, attending various concerts, writing and staging plays, and is constantly looking out for new ideas. She loves folk, fusion, blues and classic rock. She is a die-hard Beatles fan and likes to read works by O. Henry, Kenneth Grahame, Maya Angelou, Paulo Coelho and Ruskin Bond, amongst others. She is now working on a collection of poems and prose titled Wings of Hope, the majority of which was written after undergoing an emergency appendicitis operation and enduring subsequent year-long complications.
