Stardate 7/27/21: As a left-handed person who has a mild left-right dyslexia yet interpreted thousands of human thermograms with few L-R errors, I attribute that success to meticulous double checking before selecting right from left. Thus I was amazed to see Dr. Benjamin Rush writing with his Left hand in the portrait by Peale as shown in his entry in WikiPedia. Checking further (always check various sources) I found quite definitely that the good doctor was writing with his Right hand in the original. So it appears that the wikimedia image file is a MIRRORED IMAGE, attested to be a true reproduction of the original work! I am working on changing this. Will see if the Left or the Right prevails...
