This is a list of images in the public domain in Africa, mainly of historical, cultural or religious sites. All these images are in the public domain in their respective countries:

In this list of images, I try as much as possible to add additional information about them such as the original author, the specific year and the original source. Due to the fact that most of these pictures are too old, many of them are missing some additional information, but I always try to search in books, academic articles and sites of historical organizations in order to find additional information about the pictures.
