If you have troubles uploading your files, maybe your Internet connectivity is not sufficiently stable. But you can ask for help. To allow others to help you, you need to provide three things:

1. Provide your file

You need to provide your file to your uploader. You can send the file by email or by using things like dropbox.

2. Provide your authorization

You need to provide your authorization to allow others to use, distribute and modify your file for commercial and non commercial purposes; your name will be credited (attribution) and who uses your file will have to adopt the same license as well (share alike). This authorization will allow your file to be made available under the license Creative Commons attribution share alike.

Send an email to permissionswikimedia.org (add your uploader in cc) with the following text.

I hereby assert that I am the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of WORK [ insert title of the file ].

I agree to publish that work under the free license Creative Commons attribution share alike all.

I acknowledge that I grant anyone the right to use the work in a commercial product, and to modify it according to their needs.

I am aware that I always retain copyright of my work, and retain the right to be attributed in accordance with the license chosen. Modifications others make to the work will not be attributed to me.

I am aware that the free license only concerns copyright, and I reserve the option to take action against anyone who uses this work in a libelous way, or in violation of personality rights, trademark restrictions, etc.

I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement, and that the work may or may not be kept permanently on a Wikimedia project.

DATE, NAME OF THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER

You will receive a ticket number which confirms that you have provided the necessary authorization.

3. Provide the file description

You need to provide a file description.

• Your name (how you want the file to be attributed).
• The title.
• Short text to describe the file (a line is sufficient).
