Overcat?[edit]
These two categories you added are COM:OVERCAT:
- Category:Black and white photographs is obviously a remote parent (through several lineages) of Category:Black and white photographs of tram transport in Lisbon, and
- Category:Men at work in Portugal is, or should be, a parent of Category:Milkmen in Portugal.
Don’t you agree? -- Tuválkin ✉ ✇ 13:35, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Tuválkin! I apologize, but "Men at work in Portugal" is not a parent-category of "Milkmen in Portugal", and I think moreover, that it also should not be one, because "Men at work" shows actually working men and "Milkmen" more shows men with a specific profession. If you don't agree, you are free to add a "parenting" bridge between the two categories. And what's about "Black and white photographs", that's special! I quote: "The use of this category in addition to topical sub-categories of Category: Black and white photography remains a subject of contention." So if you are in the mood, then you may delete this extra categorization, but nobody must do this. saudação, fcm. --Frank C. Müller (talk) 14:07, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
Category:Crown_corks[edit]
Crown corks has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |
