My name is Erin Blake, and I live in Washington, DC (hence the username, which isn't future-proof, but I've become used to it). My areas of expertise include librarianship, library technology, book illustration history, art history, dressmaking, and crochet (the last two are hobbies, the rest are things where I have actual professional knowledge and experience).

I am currently Senior Cataloger at the Folger Shakespeare Library, an independent research library for the study of early modern Europe (circa 1500 to 1700) and Shakespeare to the present day. Before that, I was the Folger's Curator of Art & Special Collections (March 2000 through March 2014) and Head of Collection Information Services (April 2014 through August 2018) . In addition to my work at the Folger, I'm a faculty member at Rare Book School.
