Christine Mallaband-Brown is an artist Living in Stoke-on-Trent.

Born 1960, Walsall

Attended North Staffordshire Polytechnic 1979 to1982.

One of her tutors was the Fine Artist Arthur Berry, also Enos Lovatt and Norman Herbert.

After qualifying with an Upper second honours degree in Fine Art painting, Christine Mallaband-Brown worked for Staffordshire County Council, she then qualified with a diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.

She worked for Stoke-on-Trent City Council for several years until recently starting her own business as a painter. She is currently based at a studio at the Spode Site in Stoke.

Mallaband-Brown has always continued to paint since she left college. She used to paint scenery at school and has done the scenery for Penkhull Mystery plays for the last several years.

She painted a number of murals in The Leopard Hotel in Burslem in 2006, 2007 approximately. These were commissioned by Neil Crisp and Neil Cox who had bought the pub.

Mallaband-Brown has had work exhibited in Stoke-on-Trent, Burton-upon-Trent, Keele University, Manchester, Lichfield and other venues. She was artist in residence at Burslem school of art from 2006 for approximately 2 years. She has recently exhibited work at the Waiting Room Gallery in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent. Also at the Brampton museum and art gallery in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Mallaband-Browns other interests include drama, she has appeared both in the Penkhull Mystery plays, and Penkhull panto.

She also sings in two choirs.
