The factory was sounded in 1883 as pulp mill with paper mill at Blankenberg. The technical aspect of the factory is very intresting. The highlights for photographs are the Lyeboiler and the cooker. It's very difficult to take photos of the factory. A secret tip is a vierwing plattform (50.405652°N 11.708094°E / 50.405652; 11.708094) near Blankenberg, accessible via a small trail. The first image shows the view. The other secret tip is the Wiedetower (50.397391°N 11.708764°E / 50.397391; 11.708764) on the bavarian site, built as a memorial for the founder of the pulp mill.
