Many of the contributions to Wiki Loves Folklore are just fantastic! (This is just an example.)

I was a member of the jury in the following photo contests on Wikimedia Commons:

Being part of these juries was a wonderful experience; I found the jury work extremely exciting and stimulating. Of course looking through hundreds of pictures is definitely exhausting if you want to do your job well and appreciate every picture. ;–) But I have also learned a lot about photography and its motifs. This is very interesting both in the case of Wiki Loves Monuments, which deals with architectural monuments, and in the case of Wiki Loves Folklore – actually Wiki Loves Folklore allows a fantastic foray into the world of folklore from all over the world, whether it’s folk dances or masks, shadow plays, religious rituals, cooking or traditional everyday life.

Thank you, dear photographers and contributors, for all your wonderful pictures! And thank you, dear Wikimedia Commons community, for the great honour to be a member of the jury in these contests!
