Adelaide Eldridge is a recording artist of swing standards from the Great American Songbook. Her first CD was entitled, Come Fly With Me" She is also a teacher, writer and life long student of the humanities. Her musical career was short-lived. As she said, "Like many women throughout history, I've sacrificed much of myself and desires to please others. These contributions are my attempt to find meaning in what is left."

Adelaide was born in Richmond, Virginia. Her father was a trumpet player during WWII, traveling the New Orleans circuit. He introduced her to great jazz players from Louis Armstrong to Maynard Ferguson. Her mother, Maria, was born in Mexico and gave Adelaide an interest in latin rhythms. While she studied classical music in college, her love was swing, learning from the early recordings by Barbara Streisand. Eventually, she began to copy Rosemary Clooney, Anita O'Day, Ella Fitzgerald and Diana Krall.performed. In 2009, she made her first recording called, "Come Fly with Me". In 2006, she and her husband began a swing band called Fascinating Rhythm, named for George Gershwin and the type of music that they words, "Like many women in the arts, I sacrificed too much of myself for family. Singing gave me a voice."

She still lives in Washington DC.
