Torrevejense (torrevejenses in the plural, for both men and women) is the patronimic applied to those born in Torrevieja. Though the town wasn't large for most of the 20th century, it has suffered an extensive development in the last decades, growing from about 10,000 people in the mid 1960's to more than 100,000 inhabitants in this century.
