Is there a reason this template uses http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer2.php vs http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer.php http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer.php asa oposed to http://tools.wikimedia.de/~gmaxwell/jorbis/JOrbisPlayer2.php ? Because JOrbisPlayer2 doesn't check is the content is on a local wiki vs commons and as a result is more reliable. --Gmaxwell 18:48, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But it uses 1. Bawolff 21:09, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Video does not fit with standard template information[edit]

We should change the layout of this template to work together with {{Information}}. At the moment, if you combine the two, you get overlapping text. This is not good. Gorinin 09:58, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Usage?[edit]

Currently this template is more often used on file description pages (see e.g. LSF Exo F et T.ogg) than on gallery pages (e.g. Felis silvestris catus#Videos). I assume it could be more useful on galleries with a link to the file description (not currently there as it would only be bold text in most cases). Additionally, the plain file link is a bit redundant on description pages, as it already there by default.

Hmm, maybe this template should be splitted into two templates: one for galleries and other pages (including links to the file, to its description, and to the video help), and another one for video description pages themselves (perhaps only linking to the help page). Any ideas? --Überraschungsbilder 13:39, 8 September 2007 (UTC) [reply]
