This is really bad advice, and appears, very prominently, at Commons:Upload. It says:
- Commons:Photographs of identifiable people: for photographs taken in private any identifiable people in them must consent to publication
however,
- Commons:Photographs of identifiable people DOES NOT SAY THAT for photographs taken in private any identifiable people in them must consent to publication!
Rather, it refers to the legal term "private place" which has a very different meaning from "in private".
My request is that the the excerpted content be changed to
- Commons:Photographs of identifiable people: for photographs taken in a so-called private place, any identifiable people in them must consent to publication

- Done; I changed the help desk link to Commons:Форум, since it also links to a language-specific page in the German version of the message and the Форум looks like it’s reasonably active – let me know if it should really be the English help desk instead. --Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 19:18, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
- I was thinking about this change, since there is a notice on asking help around uploads topic in the help desc on the Форум. I suggest to leave it as-is.
