Template talk:Tricolor

Template would need 5984 rows checking for color combinations

I wondered how many color combinations are possible, so I did a calculation. To cover all possible combinations with the current given colors in the template's doc, there are 5984 combinations. Right now, there are 126 included, so it's a long way to go. The problem I see is the amount of parser function calls. I'm not sure if it makes sense to expand this template to all possible combinations since it would be listed under Category:Pages with too many expensive parser function calls then. In the Bicolor template talk, there is a suggestion for a solution. I don't think this solution is possible for tricolors. Does anyone have an idea how to display tricolor combinations allowing red links to avoid the high amount of parser function calls? --Badgon (talk) 10:51, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Please add Category:Black, green, yellow logos

Hi @DemonDays64: ! Thank you for the suggestions, all three color alternatives exists already though (object is irrelevant). What you need to do next time is to call this template with {{Tricolor|logos}} first above the categories, then it should show up, as long its categorized under category:Tricolor logos (or category:Tricolor icehockeyjerseys, if thats your stuff). Black, brown, white and Black, green, pink don’t show up
