… a forum for general discussion of the page’s subject

[edit]

Look at the message box above this heading – it is not clear what is the “subject” of {{Talk header}} page at all. Next, for such cases as Commons talk: CropTool the page namely is “a forum for general discussion of the page’s subject” and it IMHO is not bad. A parameter to disable the message selectively? Bullets not withing frame

[edit]

Why are bullets not within the frame but moved significantly to the left? --Obsuser (talk) 17:07, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Because of a change in MediaWiki core. I’ve already tried to reach out for the committer, but got no answer yet. I worked the issue around with a hack that will continue to provide the same layout even after the bad CSS rule gets out of MediaWiki. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 22:56, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
…and it did get out of MediaWiki! It took over two years, but we could finally get rid of the hack. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 18:58, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
