Formatting to hide the Q link?

This template is now being used on existing file description pages: [1]. The wisdom of doing that at all is a separate question. But a side-effect of this is to make inline Q links appear. These are definitely a bad thing, on so many levels. They have zero relevance to readers of this page, or to those interested in Commons content. They're also make the QIDs visible in rendered page content, which is absurd.

So how should this template be used / modified, so that if the link is going to be used to generate the relevant text, or linked to WP articles, it doesn't give a visible Q link too. Andy Dingley (talk) 17:53, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
