Template talk:Paintingcat

Template needs fixing

Today the categories for paintings were renamed from X## Paintings to ##th century paintings. When I looked into changing Template:Paintingcat I found that it used some template magic I have never before messed around with and that I'm not comfortable changing. Could you please make the necessary changes so that the year categories end up in the correct location? I have placed below an overview of the changes. Thanks. Siebrand 14:47, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Auto cat → overcat

in files through [[Category:{{#expr: ({{{1}}} - {{{1}}} mod 10) / 10 + 1}}{{#switch:{{#expr: ({{{1}}} - {{{1}}} mod 10) / 10 + 1}}|21=st|th}} century paintings]] is a very bad idea. I would like to remove it as files get unnecessarily overloaded w/cat., see Image:Boeyermans-antwerp.jpg. You know, I was working the Category:17th century paintings to eliminate it (decades or year) but the inclusion of this template is not productive with it. I have deleted [[Category:{{#expr: ({{{1}}} - {{{1}}} mod 10) / 10 + 1}}{{#switch:{{#expr: ({{{1}}} - {{{1}}} mod 10) / 10 + 1}}|21=st|th}} century paintings]] because it is not useful --Mattes (talk) 10:15, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
