I don't have much experience in templates but no matter what parameters are put, for switzerland it says not PD until 70 years after author death. Ramaksoud2000 (talk) 04:00, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I can confirm this, even in cases where it would fall under {{PD-Switzerland-old-unknown}}. Lugamo94 (talk) 22:19, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Technical help[edit]

{{Helpme}} This templates displays multiple errors on File:Expo_1931_Affiche1.jpg. Can anyone look in to it and find the cause? Josve05a (talk) 02:31, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Josve05a: I suggest we remove it. I created the template when I had a lot more time on my hands. I had to abandon it because Wikimedia parsers at the time were incapable of rendering. But I don't have the time to learn Lua now. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:22, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Chile[edit]

Hello there! I think the Chile information is incorrect, at least when it comes to works already in the public domain in the US 95 years from publication. The Chilean copyright law does protect works by foreigners for as long as they live plus 70 years, but that's a result of the application of the Berne Convention, which also states "(8) In any case, the term shall be governed by the legislation of the country where protection is claimed; however, unless the legislation of that country otherwise provides, the term shall not exceed the term fixed in the country of origin of the work." Such works are in the public domain in Chile, too. Bedivere (talk) 19:20, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
