Due to request posted by user:Lokal_Profil on the icelandic Wikipedia asking for verification of these images being in the public domain, my findings based on looking at guidelines and laws concerning the usage of road signs produced by the Vegagerðin indicates that the design are freely available and in the public domain (without explicitly stating so though). The regulations and law regarding these images emphasise that the signs be created according to standards posted, regulating reflection, coating etc., indicating that the forms/images themselves are indeed in the public domain. --Stalfur 20:29, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
