Migrate to Lua[edit]

{{Editprotected}}

Please change the template to the content of Template:Gadget-state/sandbox. This migrates defaultState and alsoActivates to Lua, which reads them directly from MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition, so they’re always up to date. (deprecationState remains wikitext-only, since deprecation is not represented in the gadget definition. This change also removes the categorization, since that should be on the documentation subpage.) Thanks in advance, —Tacsipacsi (talk) 15:43, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@AntiCompositeNumber: Please also remove the category. I’ve added to the documentation subpage in order to make it freely editable—changing a category is not at all risky, so there’s no need to reduce openness by keeping categorization on the protected main template page. —Tacsipacsi (talk) 17:10, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add Gadget-uploadWizardMobile[edit]

{{Edit request}}

Please add Gadget-uploadWizardMobile to the first #switch, as this gadget is activated by default. Refs its addition to MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition. Thanks. Od1n (talk) 05:58, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Lua-based version I proposed above (but has been reverted since) should handle this. @Krinkle, phab:T278650 has been closed as resolved, do you think it’s now safe to switch to Lua? —Tacsipacsi (talk) 16:19, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done I've modified the first #switch as requested, as comments regarding whether it would be safe to switch to the Lua version do not appear to be forthcoming. —RP88 (talk) 08:07, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
