Can we please change the colour of this template so as not to resemble the Commons FP template so closely? Anrie 11:54, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, is this template really practical? I can just imagine a picture like Image:Broadway tower edit.jpg having a ridiculous number of similar templates (the image has thus far been featured at en.wp, af.wp. sp.wp and de.wp.), which can actually render the description page rather useless. I don't think we really need this template if an image is already featured on commons and suggest removing it in these cases -- Gorgo 18:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

superseded?

{{Assessments

}}

Seems to be the more flexible and better translated solution. In addition it adds Category:Featured pictures on Wikipedia, German which is not done by this template. If you agree we should place a hint on the front page suggesting to use {{Assessments}}. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 16:46, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

After 12 years, even as a novice editor, I also question the same thing. Natsuikomin (talk) 01:03, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done Added a hint to use {{Assessments}} instead to the deprecation info on this template. --Aristeas (talk) 09:28, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank God, finally after around 13 years! Joke aside, Thanks @Aristeas. Natsuikomin (talk) 09:34, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
