needs some text to join the two paragraphs[edit]
It would be nice to make some explicit acknowledgement that connecting paragraph 1 (the discolouration took place after original creation of the image) and paragraph 2 (multiple images should be made for multiple uses, such as is recommended at COM:CROP) are two motivations: to preserve the depicted state of the object as scanned (therefore overwriting should be avoided), and to restore a surmised original state (why new uploads may be needed).
