Pull data from Wikidata?
It seems like it would be useful to pull authority control from Wikidata, like en:Template:Authority control does. —SamB (talk) 06:21, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- It would be indeed, but at the moment it is not possible for Wikimedia Commons to draw on Wikidata at all. Last time I heard, it was not expected to happen before several months − at least this is what is hinted in d:Wikidata:Wikimedia Commons. As soon as it becomes possible, I indeed expect {{Authority control}} & {{Creator}} (to name but a few) to make use of it :) Jean-Fred (talk) 08:46, 25 February 2014 (UTC)
- Now that is true for using {{#property:}} calls I wander if we can do the same in Lua. We seem to have several modules that do something with wikidata. may be one can access properties. --Jarekt (talk) 13:47, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

- The problem is that at the moment, we can only use data from the linked Wikidata item (that is we can only use data about Picasso in the Pablo Picasso page (and can't transclude them properly). Problem with authority control LCCN: Institution:Deutsches Historisches Museum

No microformat

On Wikispecies
I've migrated this template and its subtemplates to Wikispecies: wikispecies:Template:Authority control, but there's an error in the ISNI subtemplate which I can't resolve. Could someone take a look there, please?
