Please update the link to Meta-Wiki so that it points to Wikilegal/Age Record Requirement instead of Legal and Community Advocacy/Age Record Requirement. Thank you! —Mr. Granger (talk  · contribs) 03:57, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can somebody change the “Contact Us” link to from Foundation:contact us to https://wikimediafoundation.org/about/contact/? The current link directs people there, but it would be nice not to have to perform an extra click to get there. Thanks in advance! —Born2bgratis (talk) 05:44, 17 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Minors

[edit]

{{Editprotected}} Please change the second sentence in the small footnote from:

Sexually explicit images of minors should be deleted and [https://wikimediafoundation.org/about/contact/ reported].

to:

Sexually explicit images of minors should be immediately reported to [[Commons:Oversight]].

The WMF contact page does not say who to contact, meaning a potential report might just be left. Tagging such an image for deletion might draw attention to it which stops oversight being effective. The Oversighters can delete the image discreetly and oversight it without drawing attention. FredWalsh (talk) 22:32, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@FredWalsh: This needs discussion. I don't think Commons overnighters are as vigilant as WMF employees. 4nn1l2 (talk) 01:02, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@4nn1l2: Please click on the WMF link and see that there is no specific email address to report sexually explicit images. My impression has been the opposite. Whenever I have flagged problematic content, the OS response is pretty quick, whilst WMF staff tend to respond days later, which I think is down to them wanting to think carefully about their response. When the problem is something like pedophilia, we need immediate action. FredWalsh (talk) 14:32, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Child pornography is not in the remit of oversighters and such things should not be reported to them. Instead, one should report them to legal-reports@wikimedia.org. We can write this email address directly. 4nn1l2 (talk) 14:53, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I will defer to your suggestion of putting the WMF email address on the template. The reason for my request was to make it clearer for anyone who was reporting such things. Thank you. FredWalsh (talk) 15:28, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
