Usage[edit]

This helper template is used for adding a {{VI}} template on the image page of promoted Valued images without having to bother with specifying the timestamp of the nomination. By substituting this template into the image page, the third parameter (promotion time stamp) is autogenerated. Adding 

{{subst:VI-add|scope}}

on an image page is equivalent to adding 

{{VI|scope|~~~~~}}

In cases where the subpage of the nomination differs from the image name, the subpage can be specified explicitly as the second parameter, i.e., adding 

{{subst:VI-add|scope|the non-default subpage}}

on and image page is equivalent to adding 

{{VI|scope|~~~~~|subpage=the non-default subpage}}
