Jump to navigation Jump to search
This work was simultaneously published in the United States and one or more other countries.

Wikimedia Commons normally treats works published simultaneously in the U.S. and elsewhere in the same way as works first published in the U.S.
While the U.S. copyright has been shown to have expired, the copyright in one or more of the other source countries remains. Reusers of this file outside of the U.S. should take care that restrictions on usage may remain in their country.

Template documentationview · edit · history · purge ]

This template is intended for use on files that we have retained where the original work was published simultaneously in the U.S. and another country. When a work is first published in the U.S. we consider only the U.S. copyright for making decisions on retaining the file on Commons. For works that are simultaneously published in the U.S. and elsewhere, we treat the U.S. as the place of first publication. This can lead to clear information being recorded for the U.S. publication but not for the other countries where simultaneous publication occurred. Adding this template to such files will provide a warning to reusers that copyright restrictions may remain in other countries besides the U.S. Under the Berne convention, publication in two or more countries within 30 days is treated as simultaneous publication in all of those countries.
